Jennifer Rene Psaki

 Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who worked as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. As a member of Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy director of communications director(2009-2011) and spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015 as well as White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki was a political contributor for CNN from 2017 through 2020. Psaki began her career in 2001 as an influential political contributor to CNN. She worked on the campaign for re-election of Tom Harkin (Iowa Democrats) for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack (Iowa Governor). Psaki was later appointed deputy press secretary to John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki worked from 2005 to 2006 as the communications director of Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 to the field of political communications serving as the press secretary of President Obama's 2012 reelection campaign. [20] Psaki was named spokesperson for the United States Department of State in February 2013. [20] Her hiring at the Department of State fueled speculation that she could replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney when he left the White House,[21] but, on May 30, 2014 it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. The White House welcomed her back to the White House in 2015 as the director of communications, and she remained there until the end of Obama's presidency.
